Oh boy!

Ladies and gentleman (do I have other male readers besides Peanut?), I
have a dress. A wedding dress. From a bridal boutique. It's...white.
And has some sparkles on it. Oh god. All the things I said I didn't
want. I know! At least it's not poofy.

I can't talk about how much it cost. Mostly because I'm not quite
sure--my mother bought it, which I so appreciate, but we had kind of a
crazy day and I left the salon without a decision, then called her
later and asked her to go get it. More to come on that but it was more
than I ever thought I'd spend, I know that much. We did get a free
bridesmaid's dress for my sister though, so that's awesome.

I also found what will likely be my wedding band, for the fabulous
price of $23. The rest of the week: family time, cake tasting and
flower picking. Like choosing. Oh, you know what I mean.

  1. I think that happens often. You get in the bridal salon and see the dresses and the things you thought you wanted, and cost, just goes out the window.

    Congrats on finding the dress!

  4. Oh, this sounds so familiar. These are very much the things that I keep saying I don't want for a dress, and yet I put a few of these on this weekend and went, 'ohhh, maybe I can wear something like this.'

Anyway, congrats. That's a big hurdle to cross. I want to know more about the $23 wedding band!!!
